Role Description:
Studio Elsewhere, a fast-growing design and technology company specializing in healthcare applications, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join for a three month engagement with possibility to expand. Our mission is to improve healthcare experiences through developing products that support brain health, human performance, and wellbeing for various populations. Our academic and clinical partners include Mount Sinai, Massachusetts General Hospital, John Hopkins, the VA, Yale and Michigan Medicine. We have scaled our products to over 5 0 hospitals nationwide. Our multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, scientists, and artists allows for the development of novel interventions for medical applications.
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in the software design and development of new digital apps as well as improvements to our existing line of products. You will be exposed to all software system components, including backend systems, databases, performance optimizations, security, and mobile and desktop deployment. This role offers t he opportunity to grow your experience and explore new technologies within our multidisciplinary team, with a focus on rapid prototyping and building lightweight proofs-of-concept to vet creative ideas and bring them to life with an emphasis on stability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
In this role, you will also have the opportunity to mentor a small team of junior developers. You must possess excellent communication skills to help solve problems with the greater team and help mentor junior developers, delegate assignments and provide code reviews.

- You must be comfortable owning a project through its end-to-end lifecycle, from prototype to deploying and maintaining it.

Technical Requirements
● Programming and scripting languages including modern ES6 Javascript, Node.js,
Typescript and Python.
● Frontend web app development with frameworks such as React/Next.js, or others
( Vue/Svelte).
● Backend REST API servers and libraries such as Express.js, Flask, and others.
● Familiarity with best practices and testing with libraries like Jest, Mocha, etc.
● Solid understanding of networking concepts TCP, UDP, Websockets, Webhooks.
● Familiarity with database modeling in both relational PostgreSQL and non-relational such as MongoDB, DynamodDB, Redis, and ORMs (Prisma).
● Comfortable working in a Linux environment and writing bash shell scripts.
● Serverless architectures & systems, AWS Lambda, Azure, Firebase functions, etc.
● Experience with Microservices and other distributed architectures.
● Experience with cloud service providers: AWS, Heroku, Netlify, and others.
● Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to new environments.
● Version control and workflows with Github.
● Basic network and security and data privacy management
Bonus Points
● React Native Development
● Graphics programming such as WebGL, Three.js, Shaders, React three fiber.
● Experience with TouchDesigner, Unreal or Unity
