We are seeking a talented and passionate UI/UX Designer to join our AR/VR team.

As a UI/UX Designer at Edify/ Soluis, you will play a pivotal role in creating intuitive, visually stunning, and highly functional user interfaces for our AR/VR applications. Your work will directly impact the way key stakeholders, VIPs, architects, engineers, and construction professionals interact with and experience their projects in the 3D virtual environment.

At Soluis we create visual experiences beyond the boundaries of imagination that leave a positive, lasting impact. We work with a wide variety of high-profile clients offering exciting ways to engage with audiences using real-time environments across the entire range of xR platforms.

We are joining with our sister company Edify who have built a fully immersive platform for teaching, training and learning. Our work is cutting edge and constantly evolving.

Do you have experience of working in an AR/ VR/ gaming or AEC/ Architecture environment with:

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing AR/VR design work/ focus on 3D interfaces.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, ShapesXR or similar.
  • Familiarity with AR/VR development platforms and technologies, with an understanding of 3D modelling.
  • Experience of working with AI in design

Key Responsibilities:

  • User-Centric 3D Design: Apply expertise in thinking three-dimensionally and spatially to design interfaces that optimize user engagement and productivity within the 3D environment of AR/VR applications.
  • A strong foundation in 2D design
  • Interface Design: Create clear, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing 2D and 3D interfaces
  • 3D Modelling and Environments: Possess a strong understanding of 3D modelling principles and the ability to work with 3D assets, environments, and spatial data to enhance the design of AR/VR applications.
  • Prototyping (Unreal or Unity): Develop interactive 3D prototypes to validate design concepts, considering spatial relationships, and gather feedback from stakeholders, iterating designs based on user insights.
  • Information Architecture: Define and organize the spatial structure of AR/VR applications, ensuring logical navigation, and accessibility of features and data within the 3D environment.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including 3D artists, developers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of 3D elements into the UI/UX design.
  • Visual Design: Create visually compelling 3D graphics and spatial elements that enhance realism, engagement, and wayfinding within AR/VR experiences while maintaining a cohesive design language.
  • Usability Testing: Conduct usability testing in 3D environments, gathering feedback to refine designs and enhance overall user satisfaction.
  • Stay Updated: Utilising AI and keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in AR/VR, AEC, and 3D interface design to continuously improve our products.

Desirable Responsibilities:

  • AEC Sector Knowledge: Desire and ability to leverage knowledge of the architecture, engineering, and construction sectors to create tailored UI/UX solutions that align with industry-specific needs and workflows.
  • AEC Space Operations: Possess knowledge of how the AEC space operates, including project lifecycles, stakeholders, and common challenges, to inform and improve design decisions
