About the role:
We are looking for a Motion Designer to join our dynamic team within The Collective. In this role you will play a key part in delivering visually stunning motion graphics and animations for live events, presentations, and promotional content. Based in the Creative Services team you will work closely with the Production team to conceptualise, design, and execute motion graphics that elevate the attendee experience. From event intros, transitions, and interstitials to large-scale stage projections and social media clips, you will be key to the creative development of all moving visuals.

As a Motion Designer, you will:
- Working closely with the Head of Film and Animation, as well as other Senior Creative and Production team members, develop unique and engaging visual experiences based on moving image
- Design event graphics including event intros, lower thirds, animated titles, transitions, bumpers, logo animations and create storyboards, style frames, and motion tests to communicate creative concepts
- Develop 2D and 3D motion designs for on-screen content, projection mapping, and LED displays.
- Ensure all video content is optimized for various event platforms (LED, projection, broadcast).
- Stay up-to-date on the latest motion design trends, tools, and techniques, ensuring our event visuals remain cutting-edge.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges related to motion graphics and collaborate with the technical team to ensure seamless delivery.
You’re good at:
- Managing multiple projects with overlapping deadlines, maintaining a high level of quality and creativity
- Utilizing After effects, Cinema 4D, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Working on large-scale events and have a strong understanding of animation principles, typography and composition
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Ideally you may also have:
- Familiarity with 3D rendering, compositing and video codecs
- Experience with real-time rendering engines like Unreal Engine.
- Knowledge of AR/VR design workflows.
- Understanding of video editing and live video production technologies.

You should know:
- This role offers hybrid working with 1-2 days a week in the Milton Keynes or Derby office.
- Our standard working hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm with an hour break.
