Full job description
Rabbit Hole Recreation Services is looking for a full time Fabricator to join our team to aid in product development, creation, and maintenance.
As leaders in the escape room industry, our number one priority is creating high-quality experiences that exceed our guest’s expectations. The ideal candidate has a love of escape rooms, or at least puzzles and games, and has a strong interest in game room control systems. We are looking for someone who is eager to gain hands-on experience, detail oriented, willing to learn, and can work quickly.
Rabbit Hole is opening its second location in Denver in summer of 2026, and we are looking for a candidate who will aid in creating the experiences for this location and assist with installation of the games within that building.
This position allows some schedule flexibility, and requires occasional On-Call hours for emergency fixes.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for technology within The Parlour, including game maintenance, refinement, and development, as well as ancillary product creation
- Monitor in-progress and completed fixes to game malfunctions, or newly introduced game mechanics
- Tracking project progress and records, including but not limited to, all inventory usage, designs, components purchasing, and materials
- Occasional on-call emergency work, defined as required work outside of weekly schedule hours, requiring prompt response and presence at The Parlour
- Quality Control: Assist in inspecting finished products to ensure they meet our high-quality standards
- Experience and product design: Develop interactive puzzles, set pieces, or other props used within new games.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our team to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Problem-Solving: Contribute to identifying and resolving fabrication challenges to ensure smooth production processes
- Special projects as required, including work done on a ladder and other power tools
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in programming Arduino and Raspberry Pi
- Basic Microcontroller Knowledge: Arduino [C++], Python
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis
- Basic Mechatronics Knowledge: Capacitors, MOSFETs, Resistors, Diodes, Switches
- Circuit Knowledge: Diagrams, Documentation, Implementation from Design, Soldering, Voltage, Current, Power
- Basic Understanding of Material Properties: Impact, Tensile Strength, Deformation
- Familiarity with general construction and workshop tools: Power tools, milling, table saw, etc.
- Preferable experience with software: 3D CAD, 3D Printing, CNC, 2D CAD, Programming, Solidworks, AutoCAD, Onshape, Inventor, Fusion360, TouchDesigner
- Preferable experience with networking: Ethernet, Cable Management, Wireless Communication
- AI prompting skills to leverage AI to speed up ideation and workflows
