- Will broadly teach digital media production courses across the undergraduate curriculum in the Film & Media degree sequence as well as in the graduate degree programs.
- Maintain a productive scholarly/research agendas in line with an institution that has recently achieved R1 status and ranking among the top 100 universities in the nation.
- Responsible for teaching assignment of 3/2, research, and service.
Earned an MFA or PhD (ABD) in digital, immersive, or interactive film/media or a closely related field is required by the effective date of employment, August 2026, from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a high level of technical competency to participate in interdisciplinary collaborations with visual art, architecture, computer science, engineering, and associated commercial industries. Competence in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Unity, Unreal, etc. is preferred. Knowledge of film and media history, theory, and analysis is also expected. Additionally, skill in 3D printing, virtual production, motion capture, or procedural audio is desirable.
