Under the supervision of the Technical Director, the assistant will be responsible for:
- Assist in coordinating the technical needs of internal (artistic programming, public events) and external (rentals and corporate events) activities in collaboration with other departments.
- Participate in the planning, preparation and technical execution of events, including set-ups, tear-downs and rehearsals.
- Supervise freelance technicians and provide them with guidance in the field (schedule, guidelines, safety standards, working environment).
- Support the Technical Director in inventory management, equipment maintenance and optimization of technical installations in the SAT Space, etc.)
- Collaborate in updating technical documents (plans, technical sheets, timetables, roadmaps, etc.)
- Contribute to the implementation of security protocols and compliance with health and safety standards at work.
- Actively participate in the reflection and evolution of sustainable, inclusive and respectful practices in the technical operations of the SAT.
Skills and experience
- Relevant experience in stage technology, audiovisual, technical management or event management and coordination (minimum 3 years recommended).
- Good understanding of the following technical disciplines: sound, lighting, video projection, immersive systems, network, stage machinery.
- Experience in technical team coordination and knowledge of the events or cultural environment.
- Asset: knowledge of immersive systems, or multimedia platforms such as TouchDesigner, Resolume, Madmapper, QLab, Watchout, etc.
- Asset: familiarity with CAD software such as Vectorworks, AutoCAD, WYSIWYG, Sketchup, etc.
- Advantage: Agility with administration applications such as Google Sheets, Google Apps Scripts, etc.
- Asset: skill cards (e.g. ASP construction, electricity, lifting platform, etc.).

Conditions of employment:
- Regular full-time position, 37.5 hours per week
- Variable hours: weekdays, weekends, weekday evenings
- Salary: $24-29/h depending on experience
