Bryght
AV Technician – Full-Time
From £30,000.00 to £35,000.00 DOE
Bryght Ltd is an event technology and production company delivering high-quality AV, gaming/VR, and event furniture solutions for exhibitions, corporate events, and brand activations across the UK. We provide complete event solutions – from technical production and AV installations to interactive gaming experiences and furniture hire.
As our workload continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced AV Technician to join our team.
This is a hands-on technical role, and will involve working in our warehouse and on-site at events. You will be responsible for preparing, installing, configuring, and operating AV equipment as part of event builds and live productions.
You will work on a wide range of projects including exhibitions, corporate events, experiential activations, and gaming/VR installations. The role also involves providing on-site show support, ensuring systems run smoothly during live events and assisting with any technical requirements that arise.
As we deliver complete event solutions, technicians may also assist with the delivery and installation of event furniture and interactive equipment as part of larger projects.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Installation and setup of LED screens, displays, and AV systems
- Configuration and operation of video, audio, and lighting equipment
- Assisting with LED wall builds and technical production setups
- Providing on-site show support during live events
- Preparing, testing, and packing equipment in the warehouse
- Loading, transporting, and installing equipment at event venues
- Setup of gaming/VR equipment and event furniture as required
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on-site
- Maintaining high standards of equipment care, safety, and presentation
Travel & Events:
This role involves regular travel as part of delivering events. Technicians will:
- Travel to event venues across the UK and occasionally internationally
- Provide on-site technical support during live shows
- Stay away from home when required, with hotel accommodation provided
- Work at major venues, exhibitions, and event locations
Working Hours:
Due to the nature of the events industry, working hours for this role are flexible and vary depending on event schedules. While the position averages approximately 40 hours per week across the year, busier periods during major events and exhibitions may require longer days, balanced by quieter periods at other times.
Flexibility is essential, as the role will involve early mornings, late finishes, and weekend work in line with event build, show, and de-rig schedules.
Successful candidates will also be asked to sign a Working Time Regulations opt-out agreement, allowing flexibility to work additional hours during peak event periods where required.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience working as an AV Technician in the events industry
- Strong knowledge of screen installation, AV system setup, and event production
- Experience with LED walls, video systems, audio, and lighting
- Experience supporting live events or show environments
- A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to work under pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills on live event sites
- Full UK driving licence required
- An in date passport, or be willing to obtain one for abroad travel
- Willingness to travel, stay away when required, and occasionally work internationally
- A positive attitude and willingness to assist across different areas of event delivery
The Offer:
- Salary of £30,000 – £35,000 per year depending on experience
- Overtime available
- 28 days holiday per year (incl. bank holidays)
- Opportunity to work on exciting exhibitions, brand activations, and live events
- Exposure to a wide range of technologies including AV, gaming/VR, and experiential installations
- Travel opportunities within the UK and internationally
- A supportive and growing company environment
- Opportunities to develop new technical skills
