Brand Experiential UX and Motion Graphic Designer

Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and imaginative UX and Motion Graphic Designer to bring branded digital experiences to life through engaging visuals and user-centered design. This role is at the intersection of storytelling, interaction design, and animation. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of how people experience technology in physical spaces and can translate brand goals into immersive motion and interface experiences across event activations and retail environments.
Responsibilities and Duties
- UX Design for Physical-Digital Interfaces:
- Design intuitive and visually impactful UI/UX solutions for touchscreens, kiosks, and interactive installations.
- Collaborate with developers and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of UX in physical environments.
- Conduct quick user testing and adapt experiences based on insights.
- Motion Graphics and Animation:
- Create stunning motion graphics and animations for LED walls, projection mapping, interactive content, and digital signage.
- Work across all phases of motion design, from concepting and storyboarding to animation and delivery.
- Develop assets for event-specific experiences and evergreen retail installations.
- Brand Storytelling:
- Translate client brand narratives into visual experiences that resonate in immersive, real-world environments.
- Ensure consistency with brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with creative directors, producers, technologists, and clients throughout concepting and production.
- Present ideas clearly and incorporate feedback in a fast-paced, iterative design process.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and creative pitches with visual comps or motion tests.
- Production and File Prep:
- Prepare final assets for various output specs (LED, projection, mobile, etc.).
- Work with production and tech teams to ensure content renders and plays back flawlessly across hardware platforms.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Graphic Design, Motion Design, Interaction Design, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: 3+ years in UX, motion design, or related creative roles, preferably within experiential, live event, or retail contexts.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma or Sketch.
- 3D and visualization skills in tools such as 3DS Max,Keyshot etc.
- Experience designing for projection mapping, LED arrays, and large-scale digital display formats.
- Familiarity with TouchDesigner, Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar interactive platforms.
- Creative Thinking: Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to communicate complex ideas through motion and interaction.
- Collaboration: Excellent communicator and team player who thrives in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and work on multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
