/ WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Creative Technology team at Momentum Worldwide guides the technical approach during program ideation and execution. Our Creative Technologists play a central role in the conception, creation, testing, and activation of all of our work. You will frame problems, identify opportunities, participate in ideation and work sessions, inspire invention, and present strategic recommendations with some of the world’s most talented people for the world’s most respected brands.

The Creative Technologist combines a passion for creating new products and experiences that have never been seen before with a love of working with multidisciplinary teams to see those creations come to life. Our team is central to every digital effort we undertake, from initial concept, rapid prototyping, collaborating with clients and partners, to boots-on-the-ground testing and support during some of the most exciting events in the world. Momentum is devoted to innovation, and joining the creative technology team means working with the most exciting technologies available, from XR to AI, physical computing, game frameworks, and application and web development.

/ HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Help to create advanced technology and innovation experiences, driving concept co-creation, strategy, feasibility, definition, and development, execution, and program maintenance.
  • Understand the appropriate technology stack from top to bottom, knowing which tools are right for the job – and most of all, you must be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get your fingers into the code.
  • Provide rapid tech POVs, solutions, and recommendations. Contribute to the Momentum work product with deep technology-focused research, practical applications and solutions, internal and external development team oversight, and collaboration with both agency and client partners.
  • Build strong relationships with a diverse group of development partners and quickly expand their consideration set and research pool to supplement application support. Know that a true development partner is a natural extension of Momentum’s Creative Technology team with a lens on both skills and culture.
  • Straddle the border of creative and technology: understand that digital, social, interactive, gaming, and custom AI apps are here to stay and already permeate the entire landscape of what consumers are doing, and provide vision for Momentum’s future in these areas.
  • Live and breathe innovation, using the appropriate languages and tools fluently and transparently.
  • Master the art of communicating in a way that non-technologists understand and can help get the larger team where they need to be – fast. Demonstrate how to prove or disprove concepts, while communicating in a way that is both positive, trustworthy, collaborative, and knowledgeable.
  • Natural ability to apply risk mitigation & management to all interactive and tech-driven programs, covering everything from front-end, back-end, server/hosting architecture to thorough technical documentation and measurement.
  • Manage QA testing once a concept is locked and experience functions are solidified. During development, deployment, and especially during a live event, apply hands-on testing with testing plans, fixes, and optimization.
  • Create technical documentation including dataflows, workflows, technical specifications, technical audits, test plans and UX/IA.
  • Participate and spearhead R&D efforts in order to help articulate and demonstrate an idea and get both internal teams and clients excited about the work.
  • Travel is included – most importantly to event activations in order to support the work and take a hands on role in making the event technology come to life.
  • Development background required in order to step into work as necessary. Including but not limited to the following
    • Modern web technologies and frameworks
    • Experience prototyping with interactive frameworks like Unity/Unreal, Processing, etc.
    • Source control workflow with Git
    • C# familiarity
    • Basic networking, hardware, and AV proficiency

Nice to have capabilities

  • XR and game development
  • Proficiency in scripting/automation & the command line
  • 3D modeling
  • Touch Designer experience

/ HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience to conceptualize creatively and programmatically, think through production and design while having knowledge of business and operational goals
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic and fun, but fast paced environment
  • Very solid front end skills required: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Must be able to code clearly and consistently, with minimal bugs and errors, and provide clear documentation
  • Strong passion for emerging technologies, digital thinking, and industry trends
  • Proven leadership and collaboration skills
  • Experience with both physical and digital experiences
  • Expert level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite Software
  • Experience with electrical engineering, micro-controllers, automation systems a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative agency
  • Ability to adapt and willing to learn new tasks
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, able to pivot, manage and prioritize multiple projects according to changing deadlines
