We bring together field-leading research scientists, engineers, prototypers, and designers to solve the hardest problems in augmented and virtual reality and AI wearables.As an Experience Prototyper on the audio research team at Meta’s Reality Labs, you’ll work with highly-skilled scientists, designers, and engineers to develop breakthrough technologies at the intersection of augmented reality, wearables and AI. You’ll develop experiences that redefine the way we hear the world around us, augmenting our sense of hearing with new, AI-driven powers. Experience Prototyper, Audio Responsibilities:

• Rapidly prototype novel research ideas into interactive experiences, integrating groundbreaking machine learning algorithms.
• Design and build complex prototyping environments encompassing 3D tracking, spatial audio rendering, acoustic simulation, and real-time signal processing and machine learning algorithms.
• Collaborate with research scientists, product managers, designers and engineers to generate novel experiences, define prototyping requirements, and deliver demos to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with research scientists and UX researchers to design and deliver experience prototypes for UX research studies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience designing and building complex prototyping environments encompassing 3D tracking, spatial audio rendering, acoustic simulation, and real-time signal processing and machine learning algorithms.
• Proficiency with Unity 3D or Unreal
• Proficiency with C#
• Proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), such as Ableton Live, ProTools, or Logic Pro
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Music Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced skills and knowledge of Max/MSP.
• Advanced skills and knowledge of MATLAB scripting.
• Demonstrated basic audio digital signal processing (DSP) experience.
• Experience adapting and extending existing codebases.
