We’re expanding our network and are looking for experienced freelance Creative Technologists.

At Jack Morton, a Digital Creative / Creative Technologist sits at the intersection of creativity and technology, part creative director, part developer. This hybrid role is roughly 50% creative20% UX20% maker, and 10% developer.

You’ll focus on designing interesting, playful, and memorable experiences that bring our clients’ messages to life through technology. You’ll stay ahead of the curve on emerging tech trends, from AI and spatial computing to physical-digital hybrids, to inspire your ideas and elevate the work.

We’re looking for someone who thrives on exploration, invention, and collaboration. You should have deep experience creating digital experiences that often extend into the physical world, and a proven ability to concept and build for touch, gesture, voice, and other zero-UI interactions.

You’ll also need a strong grasp of UX principles, not just in digital environments, but in how people experience and move through physical spaces.

Opportunities are available as either outside IR35 or longer PAYE contracts.

Day to Day, You Might Be:

  • Developing clear, original, and robust creative concepts that translate client objectives into meaningful experiences.
  • Confidently communicate your ideas through presentations, visuals, prototypes, and storytelling, both to internal teams and clients.
  • Sketching and mapping user journeys to help others understand your creative thinking.
  • Collaborating closely with cross-disciplinary teams, from creative and production to fabrication, data, and experience design.
  • Supporting and enhancing larger project narratives, ensuring that digital and physical components work seamlessly together.
  • Acting as a technology guide for creative teams, helping them understand and leverage emerging tools and platforms in their concepts.

  • A strong conceptual thinker who can translate abstract ideas into tangible experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply technology creatively, from UX and product design to coding and prototyping.

  • Solid understanding of UX principles and how they apply in both digital and physical contexts.
  • Curious, fast thinker with a drive to stay on top of emerging tech trends.
  • A background in one or more of: UX design, product design, creative coding, or development.
  • Passion for innovation and storytelling through technology.
