Job Overview
We are looking for a creative and visionary Immersive Attractions Designer to join our team at Imaginarium. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing innovative, immersive experiences that captivate and engage guests. This role requires a unique blend of imagination, technical skills, and knowledge of storytelling to create memorable attractions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Concept Development: Design and develop concepts for immersive attractions, themed environments, and interactive experiences that align with the park’s vision and brand.
- Storytelling: Create compelling narratives and story arcs that enhance the guest experience and draw visitors into the attraction’s world.
- Collaborative Design: Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, artists, and project managers, to bring designs from concept to execution.
- Technical Familiarity: Understand and integrate various technologies (e.g., projection mapping, virtual reality, augmented reality, and interactive media) into attraction designs.
- Prototype Creation: Develop sketches, 3D models, and detailed design specifications for attractions to visualize concepts effectively.
- Guest Experience Focus: Ensure designs prioritize guest enjoyment, safety, and accessibility, enhancing overall visitor satisfaction.
- Research and Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, innovative technologies, and emerging design practices in immersive experiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Architecture, Themed Entertainment, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing immersive environments or attractions, preferably within the entertainment or theme park industry.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, environmental design, and thematic concepts.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills to convey design concepts effectively.
