Immersive Designer

The Opportunity:

As an immersive designer, you know how to bridge the gap between art and engineering by creating meaningful narratives that engage users’ imaginations. Using interaction design techniques, you can create solutions for the applications and demonstrations that play an important role in how government clients meet their missions. We’re looking for someone like you to help us bring cutting edge technology to the nation’s most challenging and impactful missions.

In this role, you’ll strengthen your gaming, instructional systems, and interaction design techniques by creating an immersive experience for diverse federal and commercial clients. Together with a team of artists and fellow designers, you’ll help create a meaningful experience for training, simulations, infrastructure planning, and many more applications.

You’ll develop your skills in artificial intelligence (AI) as we support and encourage your design growth. You’ll also help your team integrate new augmented reality, virtual reality, and mixed reality technology into AI applications.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience designing games or applications
  • Experience with 3D game engines and scripting languages, including Unity or Unreal
  • Ability to create clear and concise, visually oriented design materials that explain mechanics, systems, and features
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology field

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience designing educational experiences or modeling and simulation visualizations
  • Experience with virtual reality or augmented reality platforms
  • Experience with UI/UX design
  • Experience with Unity Reflect or Pixyz
  • Ability to script simple artificial intelligence (Ai) behaviors and mechanics
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent critical thinking and analysis skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $47,000.00 to $96,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
