What You’ll Do

You’ll be at the heart of interactive innovation at Studio Artefact. As a creative and technological driving force, you’ll work with our multidisciplinary team to imagine, design, and implement interactive solutions in museum, tourism, educational, and cultural contexts.

Your role will be both strategic and operational: you’ll design, test, guide, and collaborate.

Your Daily Responsibilities

· Participate in the design and prototyping of interactive experiences (digital, physical, hybrid).

· Collaborate with the LX department.

· Work closely with the design, scenography, and production teams.

· Translate creative concepts into concrete, accessible, and engaging interactive solutions.

· Provide guidance on technology choices, tools, platforms, and methodologies.

· Manage the department’s production calendar.

· Oversee key project phases: ideation, research, development, validation, integration, and documentation.

· Supervise internal and external collaborators.

· Contribute to the company’s technological and interactive evolution (tech watch).

Your Role in Depth

· Research, ideation, proof-of-concept, creating presentations and technical briefs.

· Strategic input on interactive projects: analysis, feasibility, budget evaluation.

· Project development and supervision.

· Supervise external teams, collaborate with internal teams, meet with clients, conduct testing and documentation.

· Coordinate with the installation team.

· Participate in stabilization, optimization, archiving, and training of users or client teams.

Your Profile

· You’re curious, autonomous, and passionate about innovation.

· You’re organized and capable of prioritizing and structuring work in an agile way.

· You’re comfortable with immersive environments, sensors, beacons, connected devices, generative media, IoT, and AV systems (sound, lighting…).

· You can simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences (colleagues, clients, partners).

· You enjoy teamwork and generously share your expertise.

· You skillfully balance creativity, technical constraints, and on-site feasibility.

Required skills

· Experience in digital interaction, experience design, interactive media, programming, or a related field.

· Experience in developing interactive installations (commercial, event-based, museum, etc.).

· Sensitivity to universal design, User eXperience (UX), and user-centered approaches.

· Strong client-facing skills: presentations, communication, managing expectations.

· Perfectly bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).

Contract Type

· On-site position (Montreal)

· Full-time: 40 hours/week – Day shift

· 4 to 6-month contract OR freelance mandate depending on your profile and future needs

· Potential for permanent hire
