Full-Time Multimedia Developer I

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.

The Multimedia Developer supports FlightSafety International’s goal of providing innovative courseware by creating interactive products and programs for FlightSafety training in a variety of programs. This position will work in conjunction with Courseware Developers, Technical Writers, Instructional Designers and other personnel to develop and enhance training programs.

Advanced Interactive Courseware Development

  • Create/sustain basic interactive courseware products.
  • Create/sustain Interactive Training Manuals.
  • Create/sustain advanced interactive courseware products.
  • Create/sustain UI/UX design in support of interactive apps/software.
  • Create/sustain eLearning courses using authoring tool (proprietary and/or commercial).
  • Create/sustain interactive simulation environments.
  • Work with 3D modeling software to produce interactive courseware.
  • Develop custom eLearning interactivity.
  • UI/UX Development.
  • App Development.
  • Consult and collaborate with subject matter experts.
  • Adhere to established specifications and product development standards and coordinate with CWS.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Participate in appropriate stages of the project management lifecycle.
  • Other duties as required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Diploma and three years relevant experience
  • Associates Degree and two years relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree and one year relevant experience

Education should be in a related field. Field of Multimedia, Front-end Web Development, Web Design and/or New Media, Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.


Demonstrable experience must be within a professional training design and development environment 
in the fields of media production or other areas directly related to courseware support and/or development, i.e. desktop publishing, media software, graphics development, etc.


Experience with project management preferred.


Background in aviation or a safety oriented industry, preferred.

Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to speak, understand, read and write.
