Are you passionate about STEM education and eager to inspire the next generation of innovators? We’re looking for a Part-Time STEM Teacher to teach a diverse group of high school students in 3D printing and design, robotics, and coding!

About the Role:

As a STEM Teacher, you will guide students through hands-on projects that develop their creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills. You’ll teach foundational and advanced concepts in 3D design, robotics, and programming, making STEM exciting and accessible for all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons in 3D printing, robotics, and coding
✅ Support students in designing and building their own projects
✅ Foster an inclusive and collaborative learning environment
✅ Introduce students to real-world STEM applications and career pathways
✅ Adapt lessons to accommodate different learning styles and abilities

What We’re Looking For:

– Experience teaching or mentoring students in STEM subjects
– Proficiency in one or more of the following: 3D modeling software (e.g., Tinkercad, Blender), robotics platforms (e.g., LEGO Mindstorms, VEX, Arduino), and programming languages (e.g., Python, Scratch, C++)
– Passion for hands-on learning and working with diverse student populations
– Strong communication and classroom management skills
– Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a STEM-related field preferred

Job Details:

Location: GECAC UPWARD BOUND program at Mercyhurst University
Schedule: Part-time, M-T-W-T 8:30am to 4pm for 5 weeks, starting June 22nd, 2026
Compensation: $25.18 / hour.

Requirements:

Prior to hire must provide Act 33, 34 and FBI clearance issued within the past 5 years, Meet the Immigration Reform Act and provide proof of education.
