TECHNICAL PROJECT SPECIALIST

ZEBRADOG, an internationally-recognized Experiential Design firm in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a Technical Project Specialist focused on assisting several aspects of our signature digital installation project work.

We create immersive, branded experiences for a wide-range of national and international clients – Our diverse range of projects extend from Museum design, to Corporate Office Experiences, Sports / Entertainment venues through Community-branding / placemaking. Our award-winning ZD Media Lab develops custom media experiences that seamlessly blend visual messaging, human interaction and physical space.

The Technical Project Specialist will work closely with our design and project management teams, as well as external A/V, IT, and project partners, to assist with various aspects of implementing our custom media installations. This role encompasses everything from digital content assistance, to project management, through assistance with hands-on, “in-the-field” implementation.

This position is ideal for individuals with generalist-type “tech” knowledge, including; experience with computers, development/programming basics, content creation experience, familiarity with audio-visual equipment and components, network / I.T. basics, and some project management experience. Our team is willing to mentor and train the right individual with core aptitudes and the ability and desire to learn quickly on the job. Core Qualifications:

– Experience with setup / troubleshooting of technology equipment, including; computers, servers, network hardware, and audio-visual components

– Experience with digital content design, production process and file types, including; digital graphic design, video, web

– Some level of programming experience

– Experience creating technical project schedule, scope and budget documentation

– Basic understanding of a building construction process, and comprehension of architectural drawings and models

– Ability to read, and create, wiring and system diagrams

– Professional communication and organizational skills

– Ability to communicate with clients and collaborate with internal creative design teams

– Self-starter, ability to work independently

– Ability to work in our Studio, as well as on project sites with client technology groups and outside consultants

– Ability to travel to client project sites and work on-site – Estimated annual travel percentage = ~%10

– Other duties as required

Non-required / Bonus skills and experience:

– Experience with commercial AV integration processes, systems and engineering

– Professional I.T. experience

– Digital design experience, proficiency

– Full-stack programming, specifically experience developing interactive applications
