Christophe Persoz
Cinematographer / Motion Control Operator and Designer / Touchdesigner and Blender Developper
Bio
I began my career as a 3D Artist in a production company creating commercials, before moving to the VFX department as a compositor. After few years, I returned to study and film sets to become a cinematographer. It took time, guidance from mentors, and persistence, but I finally found my path at the intersection of filmmaking and technology.
For more than 15 years, I have collaborated with some of the world’s most renowned horlogerie houses and prestigious agencies, working as a cinematographer and motion-control operator to craft striking, pictorial images of their products. Alongside this work, I have built custom motion control systems from scratch—sourcing components, designing and machining mechanical parts, developing electronics, and coding the tools that still form the backbone of my workflow today in motion control and visual engineering.
Always on the cutting edge of technology, I constantly explore new tools—or develop my own—to bring the vision of directors, art directors, and cinematographers to life, providing solutions across pre-production, on-set shooting and in post-production.
Beyond the set, I design and engineer mechanical systems in Fusion360, develop visual tools for immersive environment in Touchdesigner, add-ons for Blender, using Python, C++, and other languages whenever needed. My practice is driven by curiosity and precision, bridging film and engineering to push creative boundaries.
The sky is the limit—why not space?
